Saint Paul’s Within the Walls is a multi-cultural, multi-lingual Episcopal church in the heart of Rome. We welcome people from diverse spiritual backgrounds. Here, you can experience hospitality, sincere worship of God in the Anglican tradition, all enhanced by the beauty of art and music. One of our core expressions of our faith is the Joel Nafuma Refugee Center, offering services to refugees and asylum seekers from around the world.
Our Sunday services are open to all, and you are invited to join us before and after the service for coffee and conversation!

Joel Nafuma Refugee
The Joel Nafuma Refugee Center (JNRC) is the primary outreach ministry of St. Paul’s Within the Walls. Each weekday morning, JNRC welcomes refugees, asylum seekers, and vulnerable migrants into a safe and dignified space beneath the church.
Guests receive breakfast, clothing, language classes, legal and job orientation, psychosocial support, emergency assistance, and community. In a city where many people arrive carrying trauma, uncertainty, and hope, JNRC offers welcome, stability, and human connection.
