We look forward to having two guest preachers in September. On September 6, Fr. Jonathan Maresca, a priest who just completed his curacy after seminary, and is spending time in Rome studying contemplative ministry and interreligious dialogue. On September 20, Fr. Peter Adenekan, a Nigerian priest who has spent some time with us. He holds a doctorate in his field of history and mission and has completed advanced studies in ecumenicism. We are grateful for the gifts of different voices in the body of Christ. 

Did you know that we have a floor in the rectory that we call the Collegio. The Collegio has six residential rooms with two shared bathrooms and a shared kitchen. Additionally, we have a small two-bedroom apartment. Typically, these residences are occupied with young adults and others affiliated with our ministries. Starting in September, we will house our Young Adult Ministry Fellow, an organ scholar, a seminary student, an Episcopal nun, a student who comes from a very active Anglican family in Greece, and a waitress. In the two-bedroom apartment, for 10 months of the year, it is used by Padre Francisco and his daughter who is a student in Rome.

We have almost raised all the funds we need for our pew restoration campaign as we celebrate the 150th anniversary of the consecration of St. Paul’s. These pews were made by the US army during World War II, as they used our church after Italy was liberated. After much prayers and use, we are restoring them. If you’re interested in sponsoring a pew restoration and dedicating it in memory or in honor of someone, we ask for a donation of €550, and that will also endow the pew.
